I have a slight chance I am headed to Wake Island next month. Anything you would recommend bringing that would make the stay better? I would be expected to stay there for a month. Also what were the living conditions like?
My father was one of the civilians working on Wake Island and eventually became a prisoner of war. Hard to believe the atoll was pretty much dessimated from looking at your lovely photos.
Any tips on getting to Wake? I'm writing about my dad's experiences and would love to see the place.

I was there on 1993 for 7 days or so.
Loved the island.. A very peaceful place. I wish I can go back to visit again....
